Wenhaston tower are a warm welcoming team. Musical ability is not required and, despite popular misconception, there is no flying around on ropes.
It takes 10-12 lessons to learn to ring safely by yourself then the fun of ringing with others can start. For those that want to progress to the more complicated, there are also 'tunes' to learn. After that, the learning does not stop if that is what you want, so if you are looking for a great mental work out, combined with some gentle exercise then give bell ringing a try.
The commitment is to attend practices regularly to improve your skills and to ring for Sunday services whenever possible. In return, the world of bell ringing offers a warm welcome at any tower, inclusion in a true team activity, opportunity to join other local practice nights, to go on outings, be part of the Suffolk Guild of Ringers, to play a part in church and community life along with helping to keep the bells of England ringing
We seek people aged 10+ with a sense of rhythm and good co-ordination to learn to ring. Practice nights are on the 1st and 3rd Fridays each month, 7.30 - 9.00pm
