Wenhaston with Mells Hamlet Parish Council is undertaking the production of a Neighbourhood Development Plan in line with the Government Localism Bill.
A survey of all residents has been carried out and the data analysed in order to extract their views with respect to the next 15 years of the Parish's development. Over 125 villagers attended a public consultation on Saturday 24th October to view results from the recent questionnaire survey and analysis.
A wide range of age groups and outlooks participated in both the questionnaire and this consultation and have provided a solid platform on which to draw up the first draft of the plan.
The feedback was generally very positive with a number of constructive remarks to be incorporated into results. The organising group displayed both statistical data and comments to each question and asked the parish to confirm that conclusions drawn properly reflected their views.
Throughout the consultation from 10.00 am to 3.00pm, the village hall cafe, staffed by volunteers, provided a wide range of refreshments and cakes free of charge to a thirsty audience.
